(Abstracted from Int J Obstet Anesth, 30:44–51, 2017) The main objective of this study was to assess early warning charts routinely used in the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands' consultant-led maternity units so as to determine the maternal vital sign values deemed normal in their obstetric early warning systems (ObsEWS), as well as identify the triggers and protocols for escalated care.
