Meeting people at a conference, either face-to-face or online, can be extremely daunting. In this event, we will provide suggestions for effective networking - doing your best to make a good impression when you meet people and interact with them.
 
Research Square is a multidisciplinary preprint and author services platform. You can share your work early in the form of a preprint, gain feedback from the community, and use our tools and services to improve your paper. You can also learn about breakthroughs in your field and find potential collaborators. We will show you why this is an important career move, and can help with your networking skills.

Speakers Dr Gareth Dyke

Gareth recently gained the role of a Content Director at Research Square. He is the author of more than 290 peer-reviewed articles in top journals such as Nature and Science and manages the Taylor & Francis journal Historical Biology as Editor-in-Chief. He has a PhD in palaeontology on the subject of dinosaurs and the evolution of flights and feathers in birds.

,Dr Kristine Lennie

Kristine recently finished her PhD in Plant Bioscience. She has published three academic papers during the course of her postgraduate degree at Durham University. She has a MSci in Mathematics from the University of Birmingham and is currently working as a Managing Editor of Researcher Live.
