Stillbirth prevention: the challenges of public campaigns

In the 2018 BJOG stillbirth themed issue, Nuzum et al (Nuzum et al BJOG, 2017, x, x-x) report findings of a telephone survey on stillbirth awareness in the general Irish population.. Despite increased global focus, surprisingly little information is available on the public's knowledge of stillbirth. If stillbirth prevention campaigns are to be effective, they need to be understood by whole communities. In this regard, this population survey is timely and offers some insights.
