C. tinctoria is also known as Snow Chrysanthemum and widely used as a tea-like beverage and an important Uyghur folk medicinal material. Flavonoids are the major bioactive components. A simple capillary zone electrophoresis method was developed for the quantitative determination of 5 flavonoids in different parts and origins of C. tinctoria.
