Three Cu(I)-based CPs (13) were synthesized and used as heterogeneous catalysts to catalyze direct C−H bond activation reactions of arylalkanes to ketones in aqueous phase under mild conditions. The CPs not only can serve as highly efficient catalysts for the oxidation of hydrocarbons but also present a high regioselectivity due to their unique spatial confinement effect.
