Effects of the pH on the Formation and Doping Mechanisms of ZnO Nanowires Using Aluminum Nitrate and Ammonia

The pH effects on the fundamental processes in aqueous solution governing the heterogeneous formation and extrinsic doping of ZnO nanowires grown by chemical bath deposition are revealed by combining thermodynamic simulations with in situ pH measurements as well as structural, chemical, and optical analyses. A full chemical synthesis diagram is gained for thorough monitoring of their overall properties.
