*Effective writing & publishing in English: Be the best you can be! *

Welcome to Research Square’s Bootcamp for scientific writing! This course will provide you with essential tips and tricks to enable you to achieve your writing aspirations by publishing your research in high-impact journals. Although this presentation emphasises early career researchers, it contains information useful to all interested in writing for publication. Follow the Research Square profile to receive notifications for upcoming events.

Join us every week at 9am BST / 8am GMT! Over a series of short live event training sessions encouraging feedback and hands-on learning, our course will take you through the five stages of academic paper writing, publishing, and impact.

Come along at 9am BST/8am GMT on June 6th for the fourth episode in this series – ‘The structure of a well written and effective academic paper

You'll have maybe heard about the IMRaD structure of an academic paper, but what does it mean? How can we develop our own research to fit into this structure, or not - as determined by your target journal.

In this training, we'll discuss:

-The importance of structure (a plot) in academic writing

-Where to put information in your article to maximise impact

-Building arguments around article structure for easier acceptance

We will discuss this – and much more – in our fourth session at 9am BST / 8am GMT.

Research Square is a multidisciplinary preprint and author services platform. You can share your work early in the form of a preprint, gain feedback from the community, and use our tools and services to improve your paper. You can also learn about breakthroughs in your field and find potential collaborators. We will show you why this is an important career move, and can help with your networking skills.

We have a new FREE AI Digital Editing service: (22% more accurate than Grammarly!)
