Effective English sentences are short, with information clearly presented and word count kept to a minimum. Avoid unnecessary words, phrases, and punctuation.
In this session, we'll cover tips for effective writing and introduce the concept of topic sentences – sentences where only one idea only is presented.
We will cover:
- What a topic sentence is and how to write one
- Where to put key information in English sentences to emphasise (and de-emphasise) your point
-The ideal length of a sentence
-Verbs, nouns, adjectives and adverbs.
We will discuss this – and much more – in our eight session at 9am BST / 8am GMT.
