By now, only the semiconducting H2 phase of MoS2 has been investigated as an anode for sodium-ion batteries. In article number 1702998, Hongli Zhu and co-workers describe anode for sodium-ion batteries that uses 1T MoS2. Comprised of highly conducting, hierarchical, three-dimensional, and metallic MoS2-graphene-MoS2 foam, the material effectively facilitates high rates of electron and ion transfer during the electrode reactions, thereby achieving excellent electrochemical rate performance.
