Lead-Free Hybrid Material with an Exceptional Dielectric Phase Transition Induced by a Chair-to-Boat Conformation Change of the Organic Cation

We reported a chiral lead-free organic−inorganic hybrid, (piperidinium)2SbCl5, which undergoes the phase transition induced by an unusual chair-to-boat conformation change of piperidinium cation coupling with switchable dielectric response. This finding paves the pathway to the design of new lead-free semiconducting perovskites for optoelectronic application.
