Alkyne-azide cycloaddition derivatives of DHZ (1) were synthesized and screened for cytotoxic potential in which the derivatives, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 15 displayed most potent with IC50 value ranging from 1.8-3.0 [small mu ]M.
