Hydrogen Peroxide Insular Dodecameric and Pentameric Clusters in Peroxosolvate Structures

Dodecameric (H2O2)12 and pentameric (H2O2)5 clusters are observed for the first time in crystal structures of 2-aminonicotinic acid and lidocaine N-oxide peroxosolvates. In their Communication (DOI: 10.1002/anie.201709699) A. V. Churakov, P. V. Prikhodchenko et al. show that self-assembling of hydrogen peroxide molecules does not require any special conditions, and large H2O2 clusters can be formed if crystal packing provides free space.
