The Front Cover shows the synthesis of the nickel borate hydroxide NiB3O5(OH). The high-pressure/high-temperature experiment was carried out in a Walker-type multianvil module in combination with a 1000 t downstroke press using a starting mixture of partially hydrolyzed B2O3 and NiO. X-ray single-crystal and powder diffraction, magnetic measurements, and vibrational spectroscopy were employed to characterize NiB3O5(OH). Details are discussed in the article by Hubert Huppertz et al. on page 1344 ff.
