Tile-based self-assembly of a triple-helical polysaccharide into cell wall-like mesoporous nanocapsules

Herein, we report that [small beta]-glucan, after modified by two types of acyl groups, can self-assemble into tiles at the interface of two solvents. These tiles can further pack into mesoporous nanocapsules in a stepwise manner.
