Call for papers – Reimagining the future of higher education: collaboration and compassion

The aim of the special will be to share research on how higher education institutions can work in collaborative ways to transform teaching, learning, research, and service, and with compassion as an overarching approach to accomplish this aim.

 

List of topic areas

 

  • Inclusivity (decolonizing the curriculum, co-designing the learning experience, intersectionality embedded within learning developments, intercultural learning communities, resilient learning communities)

  • Interdisciplinarity (interdisciplinary curriculum design, disciplinary identity within interdisciplinary learning, programme design to address global issues, students as leaders in interdisciplinary learning, breaking disciplinary silos in teaching to encourage transdisciplinary thinking)

  • Internationalization (collaborative online international learning, international learning experience, innovative approaches to enhancing student mobility, respecting diversity and developing versatility in teaching and learning, global citizenship as part of the learning experience)

  • Sustainability (environmental sustainability within curricula: supporting students to be leaders in the environment, educational sustainability: supporting the development of sustainable education through pedagogical research, sustainable career tracks, students as leaders in learning for sustainability)

 

Submission information and key dates

 

Submissions are made using ScholarOne Manuscripts.

 

Authors should select (from the drop-down menu) the special issue title Reimagining the future of higher education: collaboration and compassion at the appropriate step in the submission process, i.e. in response to "please select the issue you are submitting to".

 

Submitted articles must not have been previously published, nor should they be under consideration for publication anywhere else, while under review for this journal.

 

Author guidelines must be strictly followed.

 

Submission opens: 3 April 2023
