In article number 1602720, Ying Bai, Jun Lu, and co-workers develop a strategy of synthesizing V2O5·nH2O cathode with binder-free and nanoflake structure by a simple hydrothermal method. The water molecules in the oxide network are beneficial for ion mobility by electrostatic shielding effect, and suitable for monovalent (Li-ion, Na-ion) and multivalent (Al-ion) intercalation batteries.
