Expanding the Pool of Multicomponent Crystal Forms of the Antibiotic 4-Aminosalicylic Acid: The Influence of Crystallization Conditions

The discovery of new solid forms of old drugs is an important research field in the pharmaceutical arena. The tendency of 4-aminosalicylic acid to form multicomponent crystal forms had already been proven and this is reinforced in this study. We have also demonstrated herein the importance of reaction conditions to yield different forms with a single coformer.
