Through strong As−O−W bonds, integration of organoarsonates into heteropolyoxometalates can result in structural distortion, as demonstrated for the seminal wheel-shaped {P8W48} polyoxotungstate archetype, which binds to up to four phenyl or aminophenyl arsonate groups.
