Invited for the cover of this issue is the group of Michael Ruck at the Technical University in Dresden. The image depicts the intermetalloid cluster (CuBi8)3+, which features a hitherto unknown bonding mode between bismuth and copper, and crystallizes as an adduct with an [AlCl4]− ion of the applied ionic liquid.
