A new boron complex for obtaining aggregation-induced emission properties was designed based on the strategy to improve the flexibility of a molecular skeleton. From the computer calculation and synthesis, the desired complex with environment-sensitive solid-state emission was obtained. Furthermore, the complex showed thermosalient effects in the heating and cooling processes with luminescent chromism. More information can be found in the Full Paper by K. Tanaka, Y. Chujo et al.
