Mesoporous nanostructured Mn/C−N was successfully synthesized by calcination of a two-fold interpenetrated metal−organic framework as template. When evaluated as an anode material for LIBs, the Mn/C−N electrode delivers a high discharge capacity of approximately 1085 mAh g−1 at 300 mA g−1 after 100 cycles. These results suggest promising application as an advanced anode material.
