MAu2GeS4-Chalcogel (M = Co, Ni): Heterogeneous Intra- and Intermolecular Hydroamination Catalysts

The first chalcogenide based aerogel (chalcogel) heterogeneous hydroamination catalysts, MAu2GeS4-chalcogel (M = Co, Ni), were successfully synthesized and characterized. MAu2GeS4-chalcogels possess high surface area and macroporosity and contain M2+ catalytic active centers confined inside the 3D covalent network. The catalysts were active for both intra- and intermolecular hydroamination reactions and demonstrated excellent recoverability after multiple catalytic cycles and regioselectivity toward the Markovnikov products.
