Cyclometalated Ir(III) complexes bearing carbazole or diphenylphosphoryl group substituted at different positions of main ligand are designed and synthesized. Nondoped devices employing them as the emitting layers realize the excellent performance and improved efficiency stability and exhibit much higher efficiencies than that of the control device based on parent complex. Our work provides a simple way to develop efficient phosphors for high performance nondoped devices.
