Cisplatin is a major therapeutic drug for solid tumors, but can cause severe nephrotoxicity. However, the role and therapeutic potential of hydrogen sulfide (H2S), an endogenous gaso-transmitter, in cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity remains to be defined.
