Block Copolymer Self-Assembly in Solution—Quo Vadis?

Block Copolymer Self-Assembly in Solution—Quo Vadis?
Felix H. Schacher, Johannes C. Brendel
The developments in block copolymer self-assembly over the last five years have appeared like navigating a sensitive labyrinth by carefully adjusting various parameters, but also facing several pitfalls. Nevertheless, researchers around the world have made tremendous progress in terms of understanding the underlying assembly pathways or utilizing kinetic obstacles. Herein, the key developments made in these fields are highlighted, such as pathways to impart further hierarchy into solution-borne nanostructures or novel step-wise and dynamic processes. More information can be found in the Focus Review by Johannes C. Brendel and Felix H. Schacher.
