Unexpected chiral co-crystals were generated from achiral organic radical and cis-MII(hfac)2(H2O)2 (M = Co or Mn). X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, and magnetization measurements collectively found the superposition of properties of the individual components without any charge or proton transfer confirming the genuine nature of co-crystals. The chirality is associated with the extensive supramolecular interactions in the solids.
