The physical, electrochemical, and electrocatalytic features of synthetic [FeFe]-hydrogenase H-cluster mimics having the general formula [Fe2(CO)6{μ-S(CH2)nS}] have been investigated in the absence and presence of weak AcOH by the systematic increase of n from 2 to 8.
