Hepatoprotective Cocrystals and Salts of Riluzole:
Prediction, Synthesis, Solid State Characterization, and Evaluation

Seven new riluzole cocrystals were developed with hepatoprotective nutraceuticals to address the drug hepatotoxicity. Among 33 coformers studied, the new prediction model was found to agree with the experimental outcome of 25 coformers. Riluzole-syringic acid and riluzole-ferulic acid cocrystals demonstrated significant hepatoprotective effect during in vivo study in mice model.
