Coordination polymerization provides a route to improving the oxygen balance and thermal stability of a common energetic compound, 5-amino-3-nitro-1H-1,2,4-triazole (ANTA), through the synthesis of Co-ANTA and Zn-ANTA. The metal ions in the isostructural metal−organic frameworks play a significant role in modulating the impact sensitivity.
