In article number 1701326, Mukhles Sowwan and co-workers create nanoportals for the hydrogenation of Mg thin films by decorating them with size-selected Pd nanoparticles. Using ab initio simulations the authors demonstrate the efficiency of these nanoportals, and, in conjunction with TEM characterization, develop a time-dependent model to calculate the apparent diffusion coefficient of hydrogen in the Mg film.
