Application of oxa-aza[3.3.3]propellanes in the diastereoselective synthesis of indeno[1,2-b]pyrroles bearing bistriazole unit

Application of oxa-aza[3.3.3]propellanes in the diastereoselective synthesis of indeno[1,2-b]pyrroles bearing bistriazole unit
A highly efficient procedure for the construction of indeno[1,2-b]pyrroles bearing bistriazole unit from hydrazonoyl chlorides and oxa-aza[3.3.3]propellanes in EtOH in the presence of Et3N is reported. The reaction is supposed to proceed through a 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction and ring opening process. Two new cycles and four new CN bonds are formed in this transformation. The reaction scope was explored with different substituents on both substrates.
