The crystal growth of NaRhO2 crystals by a modified vapor transport method and a series of NaxRhO2 (x = 0.25−0.91) crystals through desodiation chemical method are shown. An insulator−metal transition was observed in NaxRhO2, which is strongly dependent on x. The conducting mechanism is correlated to carrier density as well as to a chemical bonding change.
