A novel 3d-4f-4d metal−organic framework (Cu2+/Eu3+-1) was fabricated that can act as the first example of a luminescent nanoprobe for urinary thiodiglycolic acid which is the metabolite and biomarker of human exposure to vinyl chloride carcinogen.
