E3 (E = Si, Ge, Sn) clusters can be stabilized via the coordination with different Lewis bases (L) like cyclic (alkyl)(amino) carbene (cAAC), N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC), saturated NHC, mesoionic carbenes, trimethylamine, pyridine, phosphinine and trimethylphosphine. The Frontispiece depicts the main source of stabilization, namely, LE σ-donation and LE π-back-donation in cAAC stabilized E3 complexes, the former being dominant. For more details, see the Full Paper by S. Pan, G. Frenking, G. Merino et al. on page 7463 ff.
