Tuning spin crossover (SCO) behavior through paramagnetic building blocks is of great interest for the synergy between SCO and magnetic interactions. Three trinuclear complexes are reported, featuring thermally and light-induced SCO properties by modifying the steric hindrance of paramagnetic FeIII building blocks. The SCO temperature could be tuned through different steric hindrance and π–π stacking interactions. More information can be found in the Full Paper by T. Liu et al. (DOI: 10.1002/chem.201703110).
