In article number 1700550, multi-shelled hollow spheres with controllable shell numbers up to septuple shells are prepared for the first time by Ranbo Yu, Yu Zhang, Dan Wang, and co-workers, by adjusting the crystalline rate of the product. Used as the electrode material for alkaline rechargeable batteries, the unique multi-shelled hollow structures demonstrate many benefits for the electrochemical process.
