Graphene: Confining Cation Injection to Enhance CBRAM Performance by Nanopore Graphene Layer (Small 35/2017)

In article number 1603948, Qi Liu, Xiangheng Xiao, Ming Liu and co-workers, propose an innovative active-metal/nanohole-graphene/insulator/inert-metal CBRAM structure to localize global injection of active metal cations, which induces superabundant accumulation of active cations in the insulator layer after repeated operation. As a result, only a few active metal atoms inject into the insulator from the fabricated graphene nanohole owing to the blocking effect of graphene to cations, which improves the device performance and prolongs the device life-span.
