A standard and resonant XRD, 77Se NMR, and TEM multiscale investigation of mixed sulfoselenide CZTS derived compounds has been carried out. The CZTSe-CZTS system behaves as a solid solution with the kesterite crystal structure. The Cu/Zn and the S/Se distributions appear not to be long-range phenomena regardless of the thermal history of the samples, while there is clear evidence from NMR and TEM investigation of a local ordering.
