Combining transition-metal chalcogenides with graphene sheets yields hybrid materials that exhibit excellent photocatalytic properties suitable for hydrogen evolution, degradation of organic pollutants and redox reactions, as well as with high prospect to be employed in photovoltaic devices, photodetectors and biosensing. In the Review by N. Tagmatarchis et al. on page 12967 ff., the recent developments in this field are discussed.
