A simple synthesis with readily available chemicals enables bending of the robust linear arrangement of the trans-dioxo uranyl(VI) cation, which could potentially increase the reactivity of the inert uranyl(VI) unit. The artwork exhibits the molecular structure of the synthesized bent uranyl(VI) complex with a background showing ancient strenuous efforts to bend a stiff rod and a hidden image of the planet “Uranus”. More information can be found in the Communication by A. Ikeda-Ohno et al. on page 13574 ff.
