Investigative approach for identification of contamination in traditional water sources of Kerala state

Contamination of traditional water sources is a problem in many parts of Kerala. There are various reasons for this and the source of contamination is different for different localities. Centre for Water Research and Education (CWRE) is deeply involved in the remediation of contamination issues and the various methods for identification of contamination sources are explained. Data of more than 1500 water sources were analyzed from the various parts of the state which includes primary data from CWRE and data from other organizations like Kerala Water Authority, to arrive at this concept.
