Pseudopelletierine is a natural compound belonging to the tropane alkaloids family which has different pharmacological properties. Here, we address the structure of the two conformers unambiguously identified in the gas phase. The possible connections of the axial/equatorial (ax/eq) isomerism with its biological role have motivated the study of the ax/eq rates in pseudopelletierine and it has been compared to the rest tropane alkaloids.
