Nor-[small beta]-lapachone-loaded (N[small beta]L-loaded) microcapsules were characterized. The N[small beta]L-loaded PLGA microcapsules exhibited a pronounced initial burst release. The cytotoxic activity against a set of cancer cell lines was investigated.
